About SafeSeas Training

SafeSeas Training was established in 2018 by Sarah Lovell. After seeing a lot of students are needing support outside of the classroom, but were struggling to access support at a time that was suitable for the student, Sarah decided to set up SafeSeas Training.

Sarah is an experienced deck officer, starting her cadetship on a number of ship types – from bulk carriers, passenger ships and offshore supply vessels, before moving into the cruise and ferry sector.

Sarah has been working ashore in the education sector since 2013, working at Warsash Maritime Academy, Marlins, City of Glasgow College and more recently the International Chamber of Shipping.

Sarah believes that students should be able to access quality training throughout their cadetship, from day one right through to passing their orals and this service has been set up to provide support from the first days of learning, right through to practising and perfecting for their orals.
